ENDORSEMENTS
Florida Principles PAC evaluates candidates through a principled, documented process focused on character, competence, public service, accountability, and alignment with the PAC's adopted principles and priorities.
An endorsement by Florida Principles PAC represents the organization's considered judgment that a candidate has demonstrated the character, qualifications, leadership, and alignment appropriate for the office being sought.
An endorsement does not mean that the PAC agrees with a candidate on every issue.
It means that, after considering the candidate's record and the circumstances of the race, the PAC believes supporting that candidate is consistent with its Mission, Core Principles, adopted positions, and responsibility to the public.
Florida Principles PAC may choose not to endorse any candidate in a race.
Ethical conduct, honesty, judgment, respect for the public trust, and relevant evidence of personal and professional responsibility.
Experience, preparation, understanding of the office, leadership ability, judgment, and demonstrated capacity to perform its responsibilities.
Commitment to serving constituents, transparency, responsiveness, stewardship, and willingness to accept appropriate scrutiny and accountability.
Alignment with the PAC's Core Principles and relevant adopted issue positions, considered in the context of the responsibilities of the particular office.
Ability to work constructively, make difficult decisions, respect legitimate differences, communicate responsibly, and place public responsibilities ahead of unnecessary political conflict.
Relevant voting record, public statements, professional history, campaign conduct, conflicts of interest, significant controversies, and other verified information reasonably relevant to fitness for office.
The endorsement process is not a mechanical scorecard.
No single factor automatically guarantees an endorsement, and the significance of individual factors may vary depending on the office, race, available evidence, and responsibilities involved.
The PAC's governing policies may identify circumstances that require additional review or make endorsement inappropriate.
Florida Principles PAC may consider candidates of any political party—or candidates without party affiliation—consistent with applicable law and the PAC's governing policies.
Party affiliation may provide relevant political context, but it does not substitute for character, competence, principles, or fitness for office.
Florida Principles PAC uses an interactive candidate review process designed to give candidates an opportunity to explain their qualifications, priorities, judgment, and positions in their own words.
Candidates selected for review may receive an official invitation by email containing a secure personalized link to the Florida Principles PAC Candidate Review portal.
Rather than presenting every candidate with a single static questionnaire, the review begins with a consistent set of core questions appropriate to the office being sought.
Additional questions may then be presented based on the candidate's responses, the responsibilities of the office, relevant adopted issues, and subjects requiring clarification.
This adaptive approach allows for a more meaningful conversation while preserving a common baseline for evaluating candidates fairly.
Candidate responses form part of the PAC's review record but do not by themselves determine an endorsement. Verified public information, the candidate's record, PoliticalPedia research where appropriate, the responsibilities of the office, the PAC's adopted principles and issue positions, and other relevant information may also be considered.

Participation in the Candidate Review process does not guarantee endorsement.
A candidate's decision not to participate should not, by itself, be presented as evidence against that candidate.
Where permitted by PAC policy, the organization may still evaluate a candidate using verified public information.
