Mission & Approach
The mission, vision, and core principles that guide Florida Principles PAC’s approach to principled political action, civic education, and public accountability.
The mission of Florida Principles PAC is to strengthen public leadership and civic participation in Florida by putting principles before politics and character before party.
We seek to support leaders who demonstrate integrity, accountability, competence, service, and respect for the public trust; help Floridians better understand their government, elections, candidates, and public issues; uphold religious freedom and foster mutual respect across different faiths, beliefs, and traditions; and encourage informed, constructive participation in the democratic process.
Through principled political action, civic education, transparent decision-making, and responsible stewardship, Florida Principles PAC works to advance a political culture in which differences can be respected, disagreement need not become division, and leadership is earned through character, public service, and accountability to the people.
We envision a Florida where public leadership is measured by character, integrity, competence, and service; where government remains accountable to the people; and where citizens have access to trustworthy information that empowers them to make informed decisions about their communities, their government, and their future.
We envision a political culture where principles matter more than personalities, character matters more than party loyalty, religious freedom and differences in faith, belief, and tradition are respected, and disagreement does not require division.
Our vision is a Florida strengthened by informed and engaged citizens, responsible public institutions, principled leadership, and a shared commitment to preserving opportunity, freedom, dignity, and public trust for future generations.
These principles guide how Florida Principles PAC evaluates leadership, approaches political action, serves the public, and holds itself accountable.
Public leadership begins with character.
Honesty, ethical conduct, consistency, and respect for the public trust are fundamental responsibilities of leadership. Political success should never excuse dishonesty, corruption, abuse of authority, or conduct fundamentally inconsistent with public service.
Florida Principles PAC considers character and integrity alongside policy positions when evaluating leaders and candidates.
Government exists to serve the people and must remain accountable to them.
Public institutions should operate transparently, explain their decisions, responsibly manage public resources, disclose conflicts where required, and remain subject to meaningful oversight.
Florida Principles PAC will seek to practice the same standards of transparency and accountability that it expects from public officials.
Good intentions are not a substitute for competent leadership.
Public officials should demonstrate judgment, preparation, responsibility, and the ability to govern effectively. Leadership requires more than winning elections or advancing partisan objectives; it requires understanding the responsibilities of office and delivering results consistent with the public interest.
Individual freedom and human dignity are essential to a healthy democratic society.
We believe Floridians should be treated with equal dignity under the law and should be free to participate in civic life without being reduced to their political affiliation, background, identity, or personal beliefs.
Political disagreement should never diminish another person's fundamental dignity or standing as a fellow citizen.
Religious freedom is a fundamental liberty, and differences in faith, belief, and tradition should be treated with respect.
We support the freedom of individuals and communities to practice, express, and live according to their sincerely held beliefs consistent with law and the rights of others.
Florida’s diversity of faith and belief should be a reason to strengthen mutual understanding—not a tool for political division.
Public policy should expand opportunity while respecting our responsibility to future generations.
We value economic opportunity, responsible management of public resources, fiscal discipline, effective institutions, and policies that enable individuals, families, businesses, and communities to prosper.
Government should measure success not simply by how much it spends or regulates, but by whether its actions responsibly serve the public and produce meaningful results.
Politics should ultimately serve people and communities.
We value public service, volunteerism, civic responsibility, strong families and communities, and the institutions that help Floridians support one another.
Political leadership should be understood as service and stewardship—not entitlement to power.
A healthy democracy depends on citizens who can understand their government and participate meaningfully in it.
We support access to trustworthy civic information, greater understanding of elections and public institutions, respectful political dialogue, and opportunities for Floridians to participate in public life.
Civic education should help people understand the facts and make their own informed judgments rather than telling them what they must believe.
