User Content Policy

This User Content Policy is Draft v0.1 for Founder Review and Legal Review. It is Not Attorney Reviewed, Not Board Approved, and Not Published. It is not legal advice and is subject to applicable law and attorney verification.
Purpose
This policy governs proposed handling of content submitted by users through PAC public features, including comments, testimonials, event materials, volunteer submissions, attachments, corrections, or public participation forms.
Scope
This policy applies to user-submitted content received through PAC-controlled public systems. It does not apply to private messages not submitted to the PAC, third-party platform content outside PAC control, or legally required filings handled under separate processes.
Definitions
- User content: Any text, image, file, link, media, or statement submitted by a user.
- Submission feature: A public form, comment area, upload field, or participation channel.
- License: Permission for the PAC to use submitted content for approved purposes, subject to attorney verification.
Policy Statements
Users should submit only content they have the right to provide. The PAC may review, decline, remove, archive, or use user content consistent with published terms, privacy expectations, and applicable law.
The PAC should avoid publicly posting user content without review. Any public use of testimonials, images, or identifiable stories should be approved and documented.
Responsibilities
Users are responsible for rights, accuracy, and lawfulness of submissions. PAC reviewers are responsible for screening content before public use. The policy owner approves publication workflows involving user content.
User Rights and Responsibilities
Users may request correction, removal, or review of their submitted content. Responses may depend on archival, compliance, operational, legal, and publication needs.
Prohibited Conduct
Users must not submit infringing content, private information without authorization, threats, harassment, malware, deceptive media, impersonation, unlawful content, or knowingly false factual claims.
Review and Enforcement
The PAC may reject, remove, restrict, preserve, or escalate user content. Serious issues may be referred for legal review.
Corrections or Appeals Process
Requests should identify the submission, date, user contact information, and requested action.
Records and Retention
Submitted content and related review decisions may be retained as operational records subject to retention policy.
